I read a lot. Anywhere between 2 and 4 novels a month, plus nearly a hundred comics over the same period. One thing I see so much of that baffles me is writer's obsession with Freud and Jung. Why are these antiquated ideas so prevalent? Both have been wholly proven irrelevant by modern psychology. Is it because they're such romantic notions? Is it because people hear about the famous progenitors and believe that their field's evolution stopped with them? I just do not understand why these terrible, misleading ideas are hung up in people's minds.
