So, this week has become far more interesting than I ever could have expected. Seriously, I have no clue what's in the water but people should stop drinking it, it's starting to give folks the ability to become assholes. Let's recap shall we My friend kills himself last week, my wife's grandmother dies and at some point I lost my mind and told my employer exactly how I feel about their polices. Just to give you an idea of some of the things I wrote here are the highlights.

Email snippet sent to corporate offices: "I do understand that part of a supervisor's job is to appoint tedious tasks as well as be a group leader ...but, is it their job to be presumptuous, uncompassionate and all together ignorant?"

So I go back to work this past Tuesday hopping they wouldn't need me so I could celebrate my friends life during the Dropkick Murphy's show (They dedicated Warrior to him, well done!) Instead of any compassion from my boss I was told that I had to tell all the skinheads who may come to the show they had to "Not drink so much while they mourn" I was also told "It's your job because they are your friends" .. hmmm interesting, seeing as though I am not nor have I ever been affiliated with any hate group. I found this to be a tad racist so of course I opened my mouth, inevitably this lead to me walking off the job. I later found out that he had been planning on telling me this for a few days. He actually had it in his mind that I was a skinhead and not only that but was willing to test his theory on the fucking day that my friends life was being celebrated.

Well here is yet another snippet: "It is not in my job to counsel a hate group. I am not a racist, skinhead, member of a hate group nor do I condone any such acts they may have or may not have done. If a problem happens with any person or group I know it is my job to remove the problem in the fashion I was taught to. Although, no problem was apparent as we were in coat check, two hours before door time with not a soul in line"

So you would think I would be fired right? So did I. I spent the next day looking for another job. I get home to find a message on my machine, "D, make sure you're at work Friday it's going to get interesting. People are willing to walk if they fire you so make sure you're here" Well, it's Friday and I'm not to sure what I'm going to walk into but what ever it is I do love the word "Interesting"

I will stand up for what I believe in. Hate me or love me I can only be me!
