So, what a strange evening last night was.
Although I'm not going to knock it, it was just a bit I've joined a divorced/seperated club. Here me out here, the area where I live is quiet and anything for a laugh is good by me. So, anyway, I went to a new members meeting last nite. I really thought there was going to be some decent women there, but do you think there were? Nooooo! The meeting wasn't too far away from where I live so I walked there, by 10pm I wanted to get away, so as in true newspaper reporter style ..."I made my excuses and left"
When I got home last nite Rachel and I started texting, it'd been fun and it was really nice to hear from her. I have a lot of feelings for her and I think she has for me. However, I've also been in touch with someone else and we're going out next thursday (Her name's Sammie!) When I told Rachel I had this date she sent me a text saying her stomach had sunk and she felt bad. She (Rachel) has been treated bad by the guys she's previously been with, when I met her we had fun, laughs and she's a good looking woman. Can I just point out that I'm not a guy to make a woman's life difficult, I just want to find a partner who I can love and trust because everybody has feelings. Even me! (Although I'm not a woman!)
I also like women to be faithful so I can trust them (I have way too many trust issues!) With Rachel we'd decided not to go ahead any further with a relationship, hence I decided to persue looking for a partner, hence, Sammie. Myself and Rachel have said we'll take things slow and see what happens, as I say I have feelings for her and if things did work out she's be the perfect person (even with five kids!)
So here's where you guys come into play. Do I tell Sammie that our date is now off? Or do I go ahead and tell Rachel my date with Sammie is still on? If I tell Sammie that our date is off and Rachel doesn't work out, I'm on a loser and the trust that I'd developed with Rachel will further dent my already dented trust issues. This I don't want .... hmmm!
OR! Do I go ahead with what I want to do and whatever happens, happens? (Is this far more logical?) In my mind it's logical but I hate hurting people.
Other than that the day today has been great, work has been good and all is fine with the world. Tomorrow I'm at a funeral

go out with sammie. rachel and you have no real committment to each other. don't tell rachel about the one date. worry about telling her if you and sammie have a good time out together. if you have a good time, great, then tell rachel. but if you don't, then no harm is done. good luck hun
