Why do westerners need celebrities to tell them all the bad things going on in the World. Kony has been going for the best part of 30 years, but it's only when someone makes a viral video that we suddenly care. Don't get me wrong, he is an evil man and needs to be stopped. I'm just saying that I can't be assed with another few months of;
''Oh look, I'm wearing a t-shirt that says; 'Stop KONY' I'm REALLLY helping the cause...''
No, you aren't. Band Aid didn't stop poverty. LIVE Earth didn't stop Global Warming. And the next raft of tripe isn't going to stop War or Slavery. We need to change the little things first! How we talk to each other, how we treat each other and even how we think about each other and ourselves. Change the lives of people around you and it will have a knock-on effect. Only governments can stop men like KONY because they have the resources and the man power and they've been trying to get him for years. One viral video isn't going to speed up or slow down his capture. Besides that there are hundreds of KONY's around the world. Warlords, Dictators (George Bush and Tony Blair). Change is going to be and always has been a slow process. We need to stop aiming at the big things that are out of our control, like KONY. 7 Billion people focusing on local and personal problems will have a much greater effect than 7 billion people focusing on one man.
P.S. I Love you all and certainly hope they capture him soon. I also hope that those affected by his crimes will rise above them and create a better Uganda

I love your passion in regards to this. I saw all the posts & such, but I can't be bothered to watch. There's just so much sickness & disgusting people in this world that it seems redundant. I mean, of course we care about it, but you're so right. To each his own though. I hope they catch him too!
