I have Fantastic Friends
This weekend I had the opportunity to catch up with many of my real life friends.
The conversations were stimulating, the company good, and the food delicious. We were all in the mood for a little comfort food with just a hint of decadence so Coq au Vin it was. Im usually not fond of wasting good wine for cooking but I had a couple bottles of previously opened Shiraz that performed splendidly. I do love the combination of the reduced wine and mushrooms; the pancetta I used to brown the chicken was some of the best Ive ever used.
I can definitely tell it is actually Spring as I was able to get in a brisk bike ride and decent run in as well.
