So, last night's Chicks on Speed show was fuckin' awesome. They only did 7 songs that me and my date stayed around for, but the set was seriously intense. The crush of people towards the stage was like any good show, so it seemed most of the audience was into it even though many if not all couldn't understand their lyrics.
I even got my 5 secs of fame by praising them. Got my front teeth slightly chipped cuz the mic hit 'em, though. Guess that counts for something.
Anyway, check out pics of the night in my photos. Sorry it's just the camera phone. Can't find that damn USB cable for my digicam. Mang.

The roomate way is the best to go, no big contract and you get to meet somone who is actually Japanese, not in some Gaijin house...
The best thing is, she is TOTALLY rock + roll... (something rare in Japan from what my friends in Tokyo/Osaka tell me)... she sent me a picture of (edit: herself dressed as) Paul Stanley of KISS... now that is cool! She sent me a picture of her dressed as a kogal, (schoolgirl) too! Kawaii!!
What pisses me off are these types who have been to Japan/Tokyo once, and think they have it all figured out just by watching to Lost in Translation video... read the journal... half of it is dead wrong, the other half stereotypical nonsense, and well a few things that anyone could observe if they werent blind!
(funniest thing I've seen: Trainer-Chopsticks, little ohashii w/ like connectors so they dont come apart! how hard is it!)
Now, when people are surprised I can ladel a whol bowl of Viet Namese Pho' into a to-go cup... I'm a little put off like a round eye like me couldn't possibly manage.
Still, chopsticks, best culinary invention ever. Simplicity and elegancy combined.
Ja ne...
