- got my Japanese drivers' license after 4 tries
- finished the rough draft of my presentation at a big international language teaching conference in Tokyo (and no, I won't get to have any fun, aside from free stuff from publishers and the like)
- I think I'm about as prepared for my classes as ever. I hope it actually turns out to be worth the trouble.
So yeah I guess it wasn't a bad summer. Would've like to have goofed off more, though...

Ha! Only four tries? Impressive! Or maybe not... guess that depends upon the last JLPT you actually passed... not so impressive if you could pass level one, I guess.
