Been reading Sweet Thursday by John Steinbeck. Picked up an old beat up copy at a book sale a couple weeks ago and have been reading it slowly these past couple weeks. Aside from Of Mice And Men, which was required reading in 8th grade English and not particularly enjoyed, I haven't read any of his writing -which I'm completely regretting now and hope to make up for.
Love this passage from Sweet Thursday... "Change may be announced by a small ache so that you think you're catching cold." And this passage too:
I picked up a few other books by him -Travels with Charley in Search of America, The Moon Is Down and one or two others as well so will definitely be enjoying a long, hot summer of Steinbeck

I fucking love this book. Every couple months I pull out Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday and read them back to back as they are the same setting. Wonderful reads. :batattak:
