Independence is about full freedom. When you can travel to anywhere just because you want. When you can say: "ok, today is the weekend because I WANT" Independence is about being happy.
When I've found out about problems with health, I realized that independence is to being healthy. Usually we do not notice that we are healthy until we get an illness. And then we think: "aww I was independent and happy when I was healthy"... So independence is freedom for me and something what we can get but we should work hard for it. What does independence mean for you?
