Ive been threatening to write a new blog for awhile now so lets get to it. Ive been crazy busy painting lately. Im not a professional by any strech but sometimes people ask me to paint odds and ends for them like helmets and other random things. Anyway this guy called me up and asked if I could paint some skulls and flames on his helmet and maybe his bike if things turn out well. So of corse I jumped at it. After a few days we got together and came up with a plan and I went to work. Things turned out great and he was really happy. for some reason I didnt take any pics of his helmet but for shits and giggles I did a quick and dirty version on a military ammo can.
The first mask:
Metallic silver for the pin stripe:
1/16 masking tape to create the pin stripe:
Finished with two coats of clear:
So what do ya think? I think it turned out ok but I think Ill stick to curved surfaces in the future

Oh I almost forgot! Heres some sexyness I found while waiting for paint to dry.
