Well, I think this is a really hard question. @BLOGHOMEWORK, @MISSY, @LYXZEN, @RAMBO and @CHARMAINE.
I have been a gamer since I have memory. When I was a child a cousin lent me his Game Boy Color and I was amazed for what technology can make. The first game I ever played was Pokemon then I used to play with an uncle and his Nintendo 64. I was so excited about video games that I ask my parents a Nintendo 64 for Christmas.
Then I got a Game Boy Advance and after a Nintendo DS. I used to have really good times playing with my friends games like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart and Pokemon. After some years being loyal to Nintendo I was disappointed with his online service and the lack of new franchises which arrived to Xbox or Play Station, I got tired from the same characters always... Mario, Pikachu, Samus, Link, etc. I still thinking that games like Metroid and Zelda are awesome, but I simply get tired from them. That's how a decided to buy a Xbox 360, mostly because my friends and I love Halo and his online matches.
I enjoyed new and different games like Gears of War and Assassin's Creed. However, now that I'm busy with my career and some work, I don't play as much as I use to. I never considered myself as a videogame addict, I just liked and like to relax and play with my buddies.
I consider videogames are art because they are too complex nowadays. (But not every single game is art, some are just to pass the time like the ones for smartphones). Games have behind: Writers creating an interesting plot, designers developing maps and characters in a 3D perspective, musicians and their pieces which make you feel that you're inside the game...
A lot of games have gave me fun. However, just a few of them have made me think like a philosopher. Thats how I know that a game is not... just a game.
So... My favorite game is Red Dead Redemption because it has an amazing and almost realistic gameplay, the story is amazing and you can feel it in your soul and bones; also it's also a critic to the Old West American society, the environment is deep, the online game is full of fun and the characters are memorable. Rockstar Games not only created a wonderful game but also a piece of art.
