Although autumn has been here for a month and a half, it is only within the last two weeks that the weather has actually cooled and the trees have finally started to turn colors. I love fall. The locust trees which normally I find boring and scraggly look surprisingly beautiful in their soft golden yellow. The serviceberry which is one of my favorite native trees is phenomenal in its various shades of pink, salmon, orange and yellow. I just noticed that all the Bradford Pears are now turning their brilliant wine colored red.
