Yesterday was a long day. the Franklin Pierce Fire Dept. was toned out a little after 3 in the morning for a person walking on the ice of the frozen lake on campus. when we found him, he was hypothermic and drunk. he had fallen through the ice and pulled himself out. eventually we sent a rescue team out on the ice to retrieve the kid, unfortunately though, he told us there was another person out there somewhere. we spent the rest of the day, until 2:00 looking for the other person who we presume is dead under the ice.
The fish and game comission are saying nothing is under the ice but most of us on the fire dept. think they're wrong. we have 2 witnesses placing 2 people out on the ice, one of the witnesses is a Campus Safety officer. and both the story's the witnesses told match up perfectly with the story the 1 victim told us. we would have been out there a lot longer but it wasn't our show to run.
So yea, it was a long day yesterday...
