Wow, what a fucking show!! All 4 bands were amazing. The line up was Bleed The Dream, June, Emery, and Hawthorne Heights. The pits were sick and I screamed my lungs out singing along. Especially during "Life On Standby" by Hawthorne Heights. That song always reminds me of a certain someone and hearing it at the show and screaming the lines "NOW SHE'S GONE... SHE'S NOT COMING HOME... WAKE UP!" That was tremendous for me to vent and get some frustration out. It let me scream and it was ok to scream.
Janine and I also had a few tender moments during the song "Blue Burns Orange" by Hawthorne Heights. Listening to the song, we just looked at each other especially during the chorus and it just hit us. I had my arms around her shoulders and she held on tight as I sang those lines in her ear: "And I've been waiting so long, Just to hold you in my arms. Embrace forever my sweet girl." Let's face it, there's nothing more romantic than being surrounded by a bunch of sweaty scene-kid-wannabe's singing along all while knocking you around from side to side. But for a while, it felt like it was just her and I.
It was a great show though. Jared came along too. He is the brother of a mutual friend of Janine and I. He's the man. I saw him at one point and he had his arms around some girl. I just looked at him and he shrugged and smiled. Go him!
So now I am back at school after a great weekend and anxious for her to grace me with her company again this weekend as she comes up for my semi-formal. I can't wait to see her in her finished dress.
