you know what i learned while hiking up Runyon Canyon on suday? 1. the view is spectacular 2. i'm horribly out of shape. like really bad. i was up there officiating another ceremony (that makes 2 couples i've married ) and by the end of the day i felt like i couldn't move. i was just too tired it convinced me that i gotta get my lazy ass back tot he gym (or at least walk around the block every day ).
in other news, it's been a couple of weeks since i started work in a new department. previously i was premedia dept. it was great, i had the best schedule EVER (no really, unless you own your own company and can take off when ever you want all your schedules blow next to this one) working on the weekend crew. for four years i would get up every friday, saturday and sunday at 4:30am to start work 5am. now i know what you're thinking, "5am? wow that sucks ass!" well, yes that part sucked, but having 4 days off every week more than made up for it (see? i told you it was kick ass). well all good things must come to an end and i had to move to a shitty schedule (4pm to 2:30 tues-friday ). i was quite unhappy with that so when a new position opened up in the grand format department they offered it to me. i wasn't sure at first, but i thought it would be a good career move (as well as having better hours) so i took it. i'm glad i did. i'm learning a lot of new stuff, the people are friendly and i can do things during the week again (well after 10pm anyway...) so, while i miss my old hours, i'm glad for the way things worked out
