Hmmmm..... so the Gay Games were fun. The run itself sucked. Not very well planned, I think, being that there were no energy packs or fruit or the like. I puked it was so hot. I kept runnin. I got second in my age group, but not anywhere close to my goal. I was aimin for 3:30 ish. It was over 4 hrs. I was kinda depressed, but I'm glad now that it's over, and I'll take it as a learning experience. What did I learn? 1) Never run a marathon in the middle of July. 2) Train more than any instructions tell you to.
Chicago was fun to see, but I missed King Tut cuz it was sold out, so I'm going to have to go back when I have money again. We didn't get to shop as much as I would've liked on Sunday cuz the driver and Scott got into it, so we all just wanted to go home and be apart. Nevertheless, it was WONDERFUL to have a little vacation.
I got a dog. She's got a lil hawk. Named her Rosalind aka Rosie the Riveter. Looks like Toto kinda, so now I gotta find a basket for my bike, or maybe a little side car and a helmet. Okay, so no helmet... it would mess up the wacky hair thing she's got goin on.
Had a jetski/ tubing accident. The rope got wrapped around my thigh and threw me in the air, feet first like rag doll, when the ski took off. Got some crazy rope burn, and this should make for an interesting scar when it heals, since it follows my bikini line from ass cheek to hip. Now that's sexy.
I'm quitting my job for the man to stay at my internship. I'm doin loans to pay for this last part of school, and I just wanna grind it out and stay at a job where I like people, and feel as tho I am doing something, and, most importantly, I make more money!
Yea, lots happenin... my man's fam has been struggling with this high-performance auto shop they run. This summer has been it, though, and they've stopped taking orders and are going under. My second job, a little resturant, is having to open on Sundays now to try to stay open. It's getting tougher and tougher for independant businesses to stay open w/ this recession, and I'm a little down when I think about it. Wal-Mart and Starbucks and McDonalds are sad anyway.
If anyone reads this and cares, please try to frequent local, independant businesses wherever you are.
That's that for that, then.
