Holy shit. It's over already? My break that is. I graduated two weeks ago, and I'm starting my first "real" job tomorrow. Jesus, that didn't last long. I suppose I need money more than I need a holiday. Whee.

I'm quitting smoking today. I've gotta go get some nicorette because I'm already freaking out. Wish me luck.

Alright then. I'm back.

Finished school. Forever.

Starting full-time job on May 3rd.

Cleaned apartment.

Found girlfriend.

Read a book.

Drank a lot.

Haven't spent as much time with LuluMae as I'd like, but that's something we can fix.

Life is good.

Ophelia, I'm glad that I wasn't the only one that enjoyed that. biggrin

That was one of the best nights in recent memory. Wonderful on just about every level. I don't know that I'd say amusement follows me though... maybe insanity. One of my favourite aphorisms is "Everywhere I go, there I am."

I think I burned my "fun budget" for the next while. I had best focus on school. I've lived a reckless lifestyle for so long now, I almost forget how to live responsibly. Wish me luck.

GEB was one of the most challenging books I've ever read. Fortunately it also happens to be one of the most intellectually stimulating and rewarding books I've ever enjoyed. Coming from me, I'd like to believe that statement carries significant weight. I'm not just comparing it to Tom Clancy-like fiction. I very nearly read nothing but non-fiction material covering physics, cognitive science, and logic / mathematics / philosophy.

Hmmm... I just reread that paragraph... I think I might have crossed the line with the excessive pretentious and narcissistic rambling. Oh well. It's a damn fine book.

I basically only buy science books: biology, physics (cosmology, history of cosmology, for-the-masses string theory/relativity and such...), and a lot of biographies and autobiographies (Feynman, Pauling, Wilson, Hawking...). But when it comes right down to it, it's hard for me to finish one. They all have some sort of bookmark because I never got back to them, but moved onto something else.

Semi-decent turnout (the place was full for the head-liner), but we were unbelievably sloppy. Nothing is more frustrating that playing a show you're not happy with. Though I did have some people tell me that I sound just like Tom Waits, which made it all better. biggrin
