It's not a sport if you only make left turns, but I'll keep running in circles if that is what it takes to chase the spirit of happiness. Then again, maybe I'm just insane.
Friday night was Drewcifer's birthday dinner. There were about twenty of us crammed into a tiny Italian restaurant, yelling, drinking, and absolutely loving our awesome waitress and cooks. Seriously, sweet potato gnocchi is to die for. We took over the place for four hours straight. After that, it was off to Ray's. I haven't been to Ray's in forever but, dear SG crew, when you are ready to rock some karaoke and drink cheap beer, this is the place. I used to find my way here at the end of the night every Friday, and it was always fun. Let's just see if you can out-sing me.
Saturday, Drewcifer, Ron Tattoo and I got up early to head to Harrisburg for our friend's wedding. Laurel and Chris are one of the most amazing couples I know, so cute and so friendly. I've know Laurel since high school when we worked together at a Camelot Music store. Later on she worked for me at my music store when she was home from college. We've been friends through thick and thin ever since. Chris, Drewcifer and Ron Tattoo all worked together at ZigZag. Funny how we all know each other one way or another.
The wedding was so much fun. You can make all kinds of arguments for and against weddings and religion, but I just love the ceremony and gathering regardless. Plus, it's open bar and there's dancing!! My word, I love to dance, break out the Jackson 5 and I'm four on the floor with wings in the air.
I arrived home in time for the Fort Ellsworth Blasphemy party. Dress as your favorite blasphemy including sexy nuns, priests, naughty schoolgirls with stigmata, broken angels, naked, naked, oh, and more naked. All my normal crew and DamionW showed up, too! Good times.
Sunday I slept pretty much all day with the exception of going to the bar to watch the Eagles loose. -1 for the Eagles, +1 for the bar (12 Steps) having Troegs Rugged Trail on tap. Fabulous.
Taking it easy this week.
Tim Barry at The Khyber on Sunday, anyone else going?
Eleven days until Paris. Get stoked.
Much love, Z.

sounds like you attend some pretty groovy parties.. ah'm in agreement about the weddings, I just love a good excuse to give presents, eat cake, get tipsy and dance like a 5 yr old!!! I'm just starting my first nursing job in the ICU so I'm going easy on the parties for the moment
