Lizbet is gone. The explanation that she gave for leaving the website, the Dear John letter that she left on the mantle, was that she needed to for personal reasons. That in itself is a good and appropriate reason to leave, but it seems clear that she left to pursue a modeling career in full. And having had young men pay to see you naked (on the Internet, no less!), well, that notoriety might have become a problem with some modeling agents. So she is gone, likely looking for more to life than free Icee drinks at her convenience store, and thats great.
On second thought, maybe I'm wrong on that point. Her set is still here, after all.
Regardless, Im left with a gap in my Favorite SuicideGirls list. More to the point, Im left without a journal to read. I loved Lizbets journal and how her lively, agile, goofy personality gusted from it. She had a vivid presence in her words. You could hear the stuttering pauses in her asides, see her eyes roll up in mock disgust, feel the little dance her hands must do when shes punctuating a point. The drive home from work was exciting because Id get to see if she updated her journal that day.
Not that her beauty didnt hurt either.
But I already have spaces for the beautiful ones Erin and her inscrutable almond eyes, Audios pixie grin, the early Zoe sets (sorry, Miss Cyclone, but your latest does nothing for me), and lets not forget the nakedness and breasts and the naked breasts, all right? Morgan fills one spot for dazzling androgynys sake, her intelligence is damned sexy, and the whimsiness I crave is there in her. But youve seen her at work in on the SG Boards shes fierce, forthright, fighting an offensive on a million fronts. Shes quick with the kill-shot, landing hard blows like shes swinging a plutonium hammer. And while thats wonderful and respectable and we need people like her doing what she does Id rather the space cadet. I hate to admit it but its true. Id rather the space cadet.
So. Who to add.
As a stop-gap, Im adding Mei to the list. Shes definitely cute, with that lazy long look that slowly curving smile that makes me think of smoke, hanging idle and insubstantial in the air. And the girl can write, no lie. But and this is an opinion formed after only seven journal entries her journal is beautiful, abstract, and dry, so dry. So far, its the journaling equivalent of the cracked-mud floor of Death Valley.
Siv is in the backup role right now, just for her life drawings. Anyone who can sketch so quick and fine I cant help but like.
Well see where I go from here.
