The real estate agent called back today to ask if we are still interested in the dome house. I wish I could say that we could buy it right up, but sadly it looks like its is a lost cause.
My father in law said to my husband "I thought you wanted to inherit our house?, Why would you want to buy a house?" GAAA! This is my biggest problem besides the money part!
We live in a camper in his parents back yard. It is really small (40ft) are least to live in with all of our necessities in it. It has mold, the toilet is broken, the roof leaks and of course its cramped, and winters in it are pretty uncomfortable. This has now been five years living here and we still don't have any money saved. I want out very soon!
This house opportunity gave me , I guess, some false hope. I dream WAY to much. I have given up and I am so sad and mad.
No one else is even interested in the house really because its so different!
So, to my point, Yes, we want to inherit his parents house, he helped build it with his dad and that is something that is very important to him, and its private, and nearly paid off. That is the good news, the "bad" news, which is also good news too is that his parents probably won't pass away for at least another 30-40 years or so.
My question to them is: Where do they expect us to live for the next 30-40 years without renting an apartment?
The house is a 1/4 mile away from theirs so it would be super convenient. I REFUSE to rent, a waste of money and we cant save any money now as it is. We are trying to at least be smart about it and the camper doesn't cut it! Besides it will rot into the ground and be unlivable in about 3-5 years. I WILL NOT LIVE IN A TENT AGAIN!!!!
Not to mention The NO PRIVACY thing from the in-laws , they have to know where we go and what we are doing all of the time! Christ! Were married for fucks sake!
I told My hubby that I am going BONKERS! I don't know what to do!!!!
My dad is in the hospital from drinking again, something is wrong with my Aunt, and We are still reeling from Grammy's passing.
