Hey SuicideGirls land!
I feel like every time I log in here, I feel like I'm coming home. The problem is, much like my *real* home, I don't visit nearly enough. I've found myself really homesick for a community lately, which always leads me back here, where it all began. I dearly miss the days I felt woven seamlessly into the SG tapestry, and I wonder if there's a way I can weave myself back in. There are a few reasons I've been long absent from the SG landscape, and I want to share them with you :)
A few months ago, my partner and I got a 30-day evacuation notice from our landlords. Our lease was up and they were raising our rent to an unaffordable rate. We checked out a few apartments in the area, underwhelmed by our options. We finally looked at each other and agreed to do something we've always dreamt of doing but never were in the right circumstances to go for. We decided to buy a school bus and convert it into a home on wheels. We moved in with his parents, bought a Thomas Short Bus, and got started...
To document the process, we also started a VLOG, BLOG, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK & PODCAST, which is what has been taking the majority of my spare time. As of right this moment, we have the bus painted, solar panels mounted, bedframe build, bench seat installed, upper cabinets framed, and toilet box built. Last weekend we hit some mechanical issues, but I won't bore you with that (check out the podcast if you're interested in technical details)
The plan is, get this baby liveable and head south. We'll be traveling through all sorts of places, and I'd love to meet people, shoot, be shot, grab food, you name it, so please stay tuned to our adventures and let me know if we're traveling through a place near you if you want to meet up! The journey commences right after the new year.
So, that's what I've been up to. What about you? Fill me in on the adventures in your life! I truly and dearly miss you all.
xoxo
