Boy thinking about this war in Iraq sure is fun. Good old, clean, American fun! And what makes it even more interesting is seeing how the candidates for presidency talk about "Peace in Iraq". Because they really don't mean what one would hope that they mean. They couldn't care less about peace for Iraq and its citizens (well they might, but they won't let that come in their way for presidency). What they are talking about is, as always, peace for America. No more dead U.S. Citizens - because that is what is causing the outrage. Well fucking duh! Its a war, a war that YOU FUCKING MAGGOTS WANTED! And in times of war people die. And if we look at recent history, after the second world war, American soldiers are good at one thing: Dying! The only fluke is the 1st gulf war, where something like 80 American soldiers died. But that was more of a strike. It certainly wasn't a try to invade Iraq.
So none of the democratic candidates want to stay in Iraq. Understandable. Very understandable. Not only is it internationally embarrassing for one of the most well equipped armies in the world to be mired in a guerrilla warfare in the dessert but it is also horrible that young men and women of a truly great nation regarding independence have to die because their leaders stock options went up they day they attacked. So the democrats want to end the war. Great! But then end it! It seems they are talking about retreat really. And I know from personal experience that retreating out from a failed combat zone and then ignoring the veterans works! When went to school here and made a comment about how the U.S. had lost the Vietnam War I was almost lynched. People did not see the Vietnam War as a failure. So why wouldn't they do that in Iraq too!
Of course all the democratic candidates say the same thing: 1) Remove troops, 2) Force Iraqi government to stand up on its own 3) Involve international agencies like the U.N. to keep the peace, in a similar fashion as in Kosovo. Sounds good. And I agree, it seems to be the only solution. Certainly the republicans plans to stay there won't do any real good, not in the long run at least. Sure, the attacks may be reduced to zero over the course of time, but it won't make the democracy there working any better. And it will leave the area flammable, and plunge it into civil war once the first martyr appears.
So why do I think the democrats are scum, even if i agree with their plan? Because they are candidates, and as candidates they don't have to hold their word. Of course the one thing they would do is remove their troops and host a conference to find a solution for peace. But the only thing they are interested in is bringing the troops home, so that they can put that on their CV for the NEXT election. Then they can invent all kinds of different excuses why the Iraqi region has not become stable yet. Yes I hate to say this but democrats are as much scum as republicans are. Politicians always are! And one of the biggest issues for democrats these recent years has been
A) labeling the war in Iraq illegal,
B) getting the troops back home.
And if, god willing, we do finally get a democrat into the white house the first thing they will do is declare that the war was started based on eroneus information and the lyes of an entire administration. And the president will be right to do that, I agree. But what makes me puke my guts out is thinking of the fucking huge circle jerking and back slapping the democrats will do. "We where right, we where right! We we're right all the time!" And Michel Moore will probably have a multiple orgasm. You fucking scumbags. You make me sick!
So once the war is illegal, the only thing is to bring the boys back home. And Iraq will succumb into a civil war. Sure there will be conferences and peace meeting held around the world, but in the meanwhile humans will be killing humans, and there will be much suffering. And yes, in the end some kind of peace treaty/cease fire will be reached. But it will take generations upon generations to heal the wounds. Just look at these examples:
- Israel and Palestine, who are dealing with the aftereffects of European colonialism and Imperialism.
- North and South Korea, who are still officially at war after over 50 years of ceasefire.
- Serbia and Kosovo. After the war and the trial (and death) of Sobodan Milosevic he has turned into a form of hero for the people. And Kosovo is by no means safe for Serbians, who are now a harassed minority there.
So that is the future I see for Iraq. I'll wrap up my rant about this with nominating two candidates for the True Scumbag Award. On the Democratic side the award goes to Hillary Clinton for her words regarding her plans for Iraq and setting up a "regional stabilization group" and its first goal would be, and I quote:
Non-interference. Working with the U.N. representative, the group would work to convince Iraq's neighbors to refrain from getting involved in the civil war.

And on the Republican side the award goes to my favorite gun toting reverend, none other than, Mike Huckabee for his plan to modernize legal immigration by
Expedite processing for those who serve honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Wonderful plan! Make the Mexicans fight your wars, they already work for shit wages in you WalMarts!
And now MY exit strategy. Not from Iraq, you idiot, from the U.S. In order not to get harassed by Americans Airport security I have secured a nice red sticker sporting the slogan "I Voted" on it. This will make the stupid pigs believe I am an upstanding citizen and I shall not be harassed. I shall also discuss the NFL with them and behave like a moral citizen. Once I'm passed the rooms were they do cavity searches I will continue with my favorite "immoral activity" - being me.
And so I leave you, my dear United States of America, with one final quote.
I had a vision of a way we could have no enemies ever again, if you're interested in this. Anybody interested in this? It's kind of an interesting theory and all we have to do is make one decisive act and we can rid the world of our enemies at once. Here's what we do. You know all that money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense every year? Trillions of dollars. Instead, if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded... not one... we could as a race explore out of space forever in peace, for ever.
