I just bought phantasy star universe today but before I even opened the box I got a phone call from a friend whom had bought it already. He told me there was no cd key and there was virtually no reason for buying the game because you could just copy it from someone else (or download it) and make an account to start playing. I said oh well and installed it anyway. Once I got it installed, the update took forever even thought the file was not very large, about 104mb. No big deal I watched a movie and it was done by that time. I went to register an account to start playing at billing.playsega.com and got this:
