Everyone on this Earth is worthwhile to themselves... to their loved ones. So I'm not saying that people are worthless breathing piles of meat that are using up my air. I'm not quite that arrogant. However I have come to the conclusion that most people aren't worth my time.
Again, I'm not saying they're worthless. It's kind of like my collection of books. There are so many books in print, I could spend my lifetime reading them all. Well, I don't have that kind of time or energy to devote to reading every book on earth, therefore I need to choose what I read very carefully if I'm going to enjoy my time. Those other books may not be that bad, and hey - somebody must be reading them, but I'd rather spend my time reading books I like.
I find that most people are written by Daniel Steel, and that Neil Gaiman does not write enough.
If the world were a bookshelf, I would feel hopelessly outnumbered by trashy romance novels and copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul.
