this week i'm going in for a consultation on lasik surgery. my vision has always been horrible - if it wasn't for contacts and glasses i'd probably be dead in a gutter right now.
i am a little bit nervous about lasers being shot into my eye ...... although i've seen it done hundreds of times (i was a doctor's assistant in an eye clinic that did such procedures), i'm sure it'll be a bit scary when i'm in the chair and they are prying my eyes open a clockwork orange style.
still, the thought of waking up in the morning and not having to blindly search for my glasses is really exciting! i really think that outweighs the maybe 60 seconds of discomfort...
