I today, will begin building a masterpiece. Today I begin building myself my "dream" guitar. I've built several (and I don't mean assembled, I mean build from scratch), but I either sold them or gave them to my friends, or I gave them to my cousin to hang in his guitar shop in Missouri. This one I will keep for myself, and to make sure I do it right I'm doing the entire thing by hand (no power tools exept for a drill for passage ways, only chisels, planes, saws and sand paper). Swamp Ash block of wood for the level-to-level body and neck, Black Pearl and ivory star inlays, rosewood finger board, 2 Seymour duncan or Gibson Black Magic humbuckers, triology bridge, hidden output jack, 3pstn toggle, 2 500k volume pots (tone flows full all the time) and schaller m-6 tuners, and my (c) pending moat and "Z-SPADE" ( a Z shaped like a spade, see how the name works) designs carved into the guitar. The only thing Im not really sure about at this time, is the finish, the three choices are primer black, red out to grey to black sunburst fade, or simple blood red (suggestions or opinions welcome). Im also building some custom strap locks, a re-enforced leather strap and hard shell tweed case to complete the package.

And If that wasn't enough to make my week great, this weekend I fly to Italy to meet up with my old friend and go up to Oktoberfest in Germany for the weekend.
