So, everything is really surreal here in my neighbourhood. For those of you who aren't following the news, Ike is on his way down to pay us all a visit. He's already flooding Galveston and is 200miles from us. Scary stuff but kinda exciting at the same time. We've stocked up on the essentials....water, booze, candles......the neighbourhood has never been so helpful and friendly, everyone calling around to make sure everyone's ok. It's pretty sweet, I like it. SO, I'm off to help move patio furniture and hanging plants in the garden. Hope all you other southern texans are staying safe. Good luck!!!!!
