Hey everyone,
I hope today will be better than yesterday. You know, there are too many people in the world that haven't grown up yet. I bitch about this all the time. Here's a few things that happened yesterday...
1. The college president's secretary informs me that if the letters she had us mail out on Monday don't arrive by today, there's going to be problems. Well, do I have any controll over the postal service? Fuck no! I just slap postage on the shit. After that my job is done. Grow up.
2. A man who ordered a videotape from some company never recieved it. It should have arrived almost a month ago, but was never delivered. I checked with the post office and they claim it was delivered on 7/7/05 at 7:40 am. I don't open up shop until 8 and we don't get our mail until 10:30. The post office has been no help at all, and when I e-mailed the company that this guy ordered the tape from (just to formally let them know we never got it) a guy at the company calls me and tells me, "well we paid for delivery confirmation. You need to check with the post office." Goddamnit, I told him that in the e-mail. Then he starts talking to me like I'm an idiot and kept repeating, "you need to talk to the post office." Hmm, apparently he was not born with ears. So I finally had all I could take and yelled into the phone, "I know how to do my job!" and slammed the phone in his face. So he e-mailed the guy that ordered the tape and said that he couldn't understand why I got mad and it's ultimately my responsibility. BULLSHIT. How can I be responsible for a package I never recieved? Doesn't that defy logic? I know a lot of people have trouble with logic and taking responisibility, but jesus!
3. A woman comes into the shop and starts taking sheets of colored paper without saying anything. I asked what the paper was for (since she didn't say anything) and she said it was for the college library to make name tags. Well, did she ask if she could have the paper she picked up? No. What the fuck is wrong with people?
Sometimes I would like to take all the people I have to deal with and ship them off to Marine Corps. boot camp and see if that will crack their faces and baby-ish ways. Damn spoiled people!
I'm sorry, but I rely on my own common sense, and a few values that I make for myself: Honesty, reponsibility to the responsible, integrity, reliablility, courtesy and respect (to those who deserve it), etc. Why can't a lot more people think that way.

Yes, turn and walk away. That is what I do usually.
Drama free is the way to be!
