Now, I know it has been ages since I have posted much of anything at all and for that I apologize.
I came back to find the blog homework for the week is: If you could run your own business, what would it be?
This question was perfect because running my own business is exactly what I want to do with my life.
My best friend and I recently decided to try our hand at event planning which we both have had done a fair amount of with our current work. Currently we are still in the planning phase but we're really excited and have tons of ideas to bring to the table. Our goal is to have things ready to go by 2016.
The business that I have been planning for much longer is also a partnership, but with my guy instead of my best friend. He and I share a passion for comics and graphic novels that we have always loved to share with others. We both work at a shop but we are planning to one day open our own comic shop together. We are both aware we'll probably never make a very good living but this is the thing we both love and can imagine doing together for a very long time. Also with over 12 years of combined experience in the industry, we have a pretty good head start when it comes to on-the-job training.
