So, I've been terrible and have neglected things here a bit lately. If you've been watching my videos, you'll know something happened at work. I don't want to get too much into it but simply put, I love that job but the way I have been treated there over the years is unfortunate. After five years I realized that working there full-time was no longer the healthiest thing for me. I work there part-time and have a temporary job lined up at the moment, hoping something else comes along soon. And I have some long-term goals that I can start to pursue a bit more seriously now, so it's all good.
So, it's time to catch up on some SG homework. These aren't all of the ones I've missed nor are they in any particular order.
Are you superstitious? Which superstitions do you believe in?
I will wish on any conceivable thing that can grant wishes. First star at night, holding your breath in a tunnel, eyelashes, and 11:11 on a clock are all things that will make me stop and make a wish. Oftentimes I'll make the same wish over and over at every opportunity. I'll wait at 11:10 for the clock to turn that minute just to make a wish.
If you could invent something what would it be?
My dad had a pair of these clip-on sunglasses back in the 90s that he could attach to his regular glasses. They're a bit dorky but I think the idea of clip on 3D glasses for going to the movies is far less terrible than having to have your regular glasses trying to crush your brain with the added pressure of the 3D glasses on the side of your head.
Tell us your best ghost/spooky story!
My aunt lives in a haunted house. I'm serious, when my mom was in school that WAS the house that the town decorated up and used for the haunted house. On top of that, some guy did kill himself in that house a long time ago. My entire life, I've heard creepy stories of strange goings-on at that house involving that ghostly presence.
When I was really young, my mom had dropped my brother and I off to stay at my aunt's house. My mom had a date or something and was planning on getting in late and crashing. When she had gotten back to the house, everyone had gone to bed and my aunt had forgotten to leave the door unlocked for my mom. She tried banging on the door but nobody heard her. She went around to the side of the house where she knew there was an unused side entrance. As she got to the door, it just opened. My mom was creeped out but knew that it was best to be polite to whatever could be listening and said "thank you." However she was so scared that rather than sleep at the house, she woke us up and took us with her.
Later my aunt asked why she had left in the middle of the night and my mom explained the story to her. My aunt told her that that couldn't have happened. They haven't been able to get that door open. It had been stuck shut for years.
