You all wont believe the kind of time Ive been hving lately
Well......I got a call from Waldenbooks on Monday. They wanted me to come in for a interview. Im like "Okay, sure" and didnt realize till I hung up that it was a laundry day for me.....and the only thing I had clean to wear was blue jeans and a shirt with an evil anime character on it. Not exactly what I want to wear to an interview...but it was all I had. So I head in and do the interview. I didnt think it went well but I guess it went better than I thought cuz I got a call later on saying I got the job. Problem here is that its only part time....I need full. So Im still hoping to hear from the other places.
Anyway......Im leaving from the interview....I get in my van to go home, turn the key..........and nothing Shit. Okay....no biggie though....was pretty obvious that the battery was dead since the roof light and the radio were fading. Soooooooo.....I get out my jumper cables and find some nice guy willing to give me a jump. After I get ready I pull the lever to pop open the hood.......and...........
The god damned lever broke off in my hand
So Im stuck in the damn Mall parking lot with a dead battery and no way to open the hood to jump it. *sigh* So I call triple A. They tow me home (was too late to go to the mechanic right then)
Tuesday morning. I call triple a and they take me to my mechanic. He looks at it and says he cant open it.....thats a job for a body shop. So I get the thing towed to the body shop. They pop the hood open in all of about 10 seconds (the same exact way I suggested to the mechanic that it could be done.....but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It couldnt possibly work like that ) and they give me a jump. I let the van idle for a while to charge the battery then go home. I get home no prob......turn off the van , turn it on to test it.......and nothing
Wednsday morning. I take it to the mechanic. Again. Turns out that the whole thing happened because the battery just died. Completely. Couldnt hold a charge at all. SO that needed to be replaced.
When all was said and done, the total cost with the tows, body shop, the jump start (they charged me $25 for a fucking jump!!!! ) mechanic and the new battery was well over $350
(edited to add something I forgot.....the guy who was going to give me a jump had some pliers that he let me borrow....so when the lever broke I tried yanking on the cable that it was attached to. The cable broke too )

So she said she sent it today, and almost made me feel guilty for doubting her friendship and doubting that she would send it.
