I just got back from the beach. A very beautiful weekend, filled with all kinds of squishy creatures, whales and sea lions.
Not to mention, a plethora of neato beach critters at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The Aquarium also features a shark exhibit, which somehow reminds me of Happy Days. After a days adventure I developed an unquenchable thirst. In my search for grog I found a couple cool pirate bars, restaurants and even a pirate RV park along Highway 101 
Apparently it is good to be a pirate in Oregon... unless you are a Portland swashbuckler... then it is bad. Very very bad. I'm surprised the icon still exists.
'Cause that would be cool.
