WONDERCON
Yep, I'll be there. And hope to see some of you there as well! I've had to mash a lot of work into one week in able to make this vacation time work for myself (especially on top of the fact that I'm moving within a few weeks) but I know it will be totally worth it. I'll be relaxing, enjoying the comic wonders and the movie madness that will be happening, checking out the city a bit more, and hopefully meeting some more great people to keep in contact with when the city becomes my new home.
AND I totally have my room booked at the Hotel Des Arts! Excited to check this place out! Was thinking about throwing in a few extra dollars and grabbing the Shepard Fairey Room but finally decided against it because 1) there is no guarantee you actually get that room and 2) I don't think I'll be in my room that much to really enjoy it. So instead I grabbed one of their Deluxe Queen Painted Rooms and narrowed my choices down to these:
Jeremy Fish, Room 412
Definitely love Jeremy's work and have seen him around with his Nike designs as well as some other stuff here and there.
Jeremyville, Room 306
Another great artist who has been featured many many places, MTV, Lego, Juxtapoz, etc. Great stuff.
Apex, Room 407
Honestly, I don't know much about this artist but I kind of like the feeling of the room. So this one is basically just for aesthetic satisfaction.
So what can I say... I'm EXCITED for this weekend!
Anyways! Just another quick update while taking a break (and had to clear out last nights goofy blog that I posted when I was really tired lol). Hope you all are doing well!
JP
PS - I think I am also going to buy some tickets to Death Cab for Cutie's show at the Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento on April 27. Who wants to go?
