SAN FRANCISCO...
...Today is the first day I have ever realized the true beauty of this city. It was an actual heart warming moment that sparked a grin that has been missing from my face for a few weeks now; all of you who know me well know that smile. It's the smile of confidence and perseverance, of wit and candor, comfort and charisma, a smile of real happiness. As the moment grew so did the excitement and I realized there was magic to be made there in the city. Not surprisingly this overwhelming sense of new growth and life happened while driving through the Haight-Ashbury area. Oh and for those of you who haven't been keeping tabs, I have been running back and forth between Sacramento and San Francisco for the last couple days in search of a new place to live in the city.
Many neighborhoods, a few uninteresting places, and even a few more uncomfortable roommate possibilities had lead me to start doubting my intentions of living in the city. Honestly I couldn't tell you exactly "what" it was that struck that chord, whatever changed my outlook will probably remain a mystery to me. Maybe it was the people, maybe the buildings and stylized architecture, maybe it was just a realization of where I was? No matter the reason, the sense of purpose and excitement was there and I am enthralled to continue my search for a good home in the city.
If you are in the area, keep your eyes and ears open for me. I would love to find a good room and roommate in the city. I greatly appreciate the help. And for the rest of you, your thoughts and comments are always great; you are a secondary fun family, my SG home that I cherish as well. I'm glad to be back talking with you all and I promise more exciting stuff in the future.
Oh, and yes I promise more design stuff!
And, as I always try to leave you with something I am listening to or something I find interesting, here is Bon Iver and the Bowerbirds covering Sarah Siskind's "Lovin's for Fools":
