All Things New
Lifes always on the move...
Hey Everyone! Just another update with a few new bits and pieces in the mix...
I am absolute DYING to get moved to Cali now. Not that I don't love Portland and Vancouver or Washington/Oregon in general... its just time for me to move on and start fresh down in my new "home". STILL waiting for my acceptace into the San Francisco SG group but Im not too worried about it. It will happen in time...
I'll be heading down to Cali for a short weekend trip here really shortly (maybe this weekend or next hopefully). More than likely wont be around much to hang out but there will always be time for that in the future. My schedule down there will be pretty tight in the first place, lol . Good times.
Anyways, there are lots of things to organize and get moving on to prep myself for Cali... I have a housefull of stuff (well at least a two bedroom apartment full of stuff) to figure out what I'm going to keep and what to sell off. Roomies rock though, sounds like everything is falling into place there... Got to figure out what the plan is with Stogie in the meantime too. That boy has been through alot with me, I owe him a big present one of these days, lol. Last thing to do is figure out a job situation for Cali... Won't be doing the web stuff I was doing over the last year but Im not too worried about it. Hopefully I'll hop in with a screenprinter or design group and help on the side while still focussing on school. We'll see. It'll all work itself out in the end.
Anyways, for fun here is a little bit about the first tattoo I've been thinking about getting... I'm REALLY interested in getting a sleeve done though many people have said start smaller. I dunno, I'm not too worried about the pain of it as much as just bleeding a hell of a lot. Anyways here are the originals of the design I want to transfer into a sleeve design (the flowers and leafing could continue around to fill out the sleeve):
This is actually an original magazine cover (one of the first Graphic Design magazine in history) designed by Koloman Moser for Ver Sacrum which means Sacred Spring. It has even been revamped into an OBEY piece by Shepard Fairey called Nouveau Black as seen here:
Anyways, thats all for now... got distracted while writing this lol...
Talk to you all soon,
JP
