One day I swear I'm going to be able to slow down for a day and just absorb some peace and quiet as well as maybe a few good hours of time talking with close friends here. But for now school is done (YAY) and the holiday is over only to be taken over by my current move. Yes, for you who didn't know I am moving though not far... only about 3 miles from where I am now. I chose to help my sister and brother-in-law (who is really cool by the way and we are good friends) by giving them rent money so they can pay off their mortgage quicker. Yeah, this will save me money in the end but it does take away something that I cherish dearly and that is my personal alone time. Daily I'm starting to regret more and more offering to help and I have yet to move in, lol. The issue is not my brother-in-law, like I said we are good friends and can hang anytime; it's my crazy ass sister. I love her to death but man she is a psycho at times and has no real clear sense of reason, peaceful resolve, or drama. These things coupled with her undying need to have an opinion about everything and announce it drives me up the wall. I'll have to be very strong minded to calm myself and to let her arrogance slip by me untouched, something that will take time to adjust to. All in all I think it will be fine.
Anyways, December 31st is my last day at this place and the New Year arrives with a new home, temporary, but new none the less. I'll be moving back out in a few months after they got the help they needed as well as filling my bank account a little more. Oh, and to top things off I will actually be jumping back into a part time job, hopefully working with a printer or design firm here in town to add some extra money for fun stuff through school. What a new year! Always have to make the best of it and I'm sure more doors will open this year as they have the last few.
Moving is kinda weird... didn't realize actually how much STUFF I do have. I swear I have enough kichen stuff for a family of eight and every kitchen item you can imagine... and I can't even cook! Guess i'll have to learn this year. On top that that here are some of the odds and ends that I have found in the move.
- Remote Controlled Airplane (sooooo gonna get some use here soon, lol)
- Full Poker Table for 8 people (including drink holders etc)
- Digital Poker (hook it up to your TV)
- Popcorn Cart (yes an air pop popcorn cart)
- 8 Piece Red w/ White Stripes Popcorn Bowl Set
- Full Kayak Gear for two (Kayaks are at a friends house)
- Full Camping Set with Tent for like 6 People
- Full set of Italian White Dishes from Crate & Barrel
- Wedding Dress (OMG WTF lol - no joke, why the fuck do I still have this in a box?)
- Two Full Golf Club Sets
- Full China Dish Set (this totally needs to go back to my ex no matter how much we despise each other, its her Great Grandmothers and should be left in the family)
- Over 30 strands of Christmas Lights
- Roulette and Craps Table
This isn't even counting the random shit that is already in the house sitting around (including like every season of Friends on DVD, Will & Grace also, and a freakin' Bridesmaids dress that I have no clue why its in my closet).
Anyways, hmm... eBay might be good to me in the next few months lol.
OK, back to packing for me and then out to dinner with friends.
Miss you all and hope to talk soon.
JP
P.S. I bought a Nintendo DS Lite and have The New Super Mario Bros, Mario & Luigi Partners in Time, and Animal Crossing which all rock. Holler at me if you want to be added to my friends list on Animal Crossing or even on XBOX Live... I think I will be spending a little time gaming out here soon.
miss you
take care
