Some things amazingly get dropped at your feet.
Hey Everyone -
Quick Update... Still SUPER ASS BUSY with final school work (semester ends December 23rd). Had a great time this week with a special guest, got to go see Stranger Than Fiction will Will Ferrel and I definetly recommend you go see it as well.
Now for the big news that has me excited as well nervous (in all honesty). While blazin' and cursing up some Nazi's on COD 3 (Call of Duty for you non-gamers) I got an XBOX Live message from a friend (and a commercial director) of mine from the LA area that hosts a podcast about geek related things (movies, comics, videogames, etc). Anyways the news he has for me was big, and I mean BIG. He has been wanting to use my design skills to help with a new project he is working on with some other people from the area. I can't say much but I will say the names that came through the message were not only people who I have dreamed about working with for years now but some even larger names than I would have ever expected. OK OK... here are a few hints, most of which you guys will never get but it may involve some people who have been involved with a few of these things:
Anways, so I am REALLY excited to get the chance to even be thought to participate in such a great thing. So there is my excited side... My nervous side always lands back on my skills... I just hope that my skills are up to par to support all the things that they will need of me, but I guess I shouldn't worry so much. Dan (the friend who messaged me) has seen my work before and has been talking to me for a while now trying to get me involved in working stuff up for them so it should be all good.
So... expect good things to come in the future... maybe more detail when I know I can give it out but exciting times ahead my friends.
OH!!!! And like always here is a little video to add to the flavor. This is Reggie & the Full Effect's "Take Me Home Please" video which was directed by Jonathan London, a friend of mine from LA. These guys are pretty badass and funny as hell at times. Worth the watch:
Miss you all and hope to hear from you soon. Hope the hollidays are bright for you all,
JP
