So I just HAD to post this, lol. This is a message from my Dad that I got at like 7 a.m. this morning. I love how my Vonage phone line sends my messages to me in an email so I can post them like this.
When the hell did my Dad become this big of a NERD:
Birthday - Voicemail from Dad
Got to love it though.
What's with the Tom Selleck mustache Dad! I swear he kinda looks like a cheap ass Borat, lol. (7th Birthday in 1986)
OK, so I'll embarass myself a little and give you a glimpse of ZAMNy growing up over the years:
WOW, I'm the crazy egghead kid in the middle. Not smooth JP, lol. (1 or 2 in 1981)
Mr. Smooooth in the 80's. Don't know what year exactly this one was but I was probably 7 or 8 maybe.
What a little goof. Nine years old in 1989.
Everyone have a great day,
JP

Contemporaries
You can learn alot about me from the design that I appreciate.
Hey Everyone -
Gonna try something a little different today and see if its interesting at all to you guys. So as majority of you know I'm a major design freak and graphic design major. Well seeing that majority of the work I am capable of creating right now is school work and not very interesting to "show and tell", I thought I would give you all a look at some of my "contemporaries" - meaning individuals that I wouldn't necessarily put myself on their level yet, but ones that have similar style and interests as mine. By seeing their work you might get a little grasp of what it is I do and what it styles I enjoy involving myself in. Maybe even you will find something you like yourself.
So the first individual I will show off here is a guy by the name of Pete Harrison from the UK who goes by the alias's of Aeiko and WireStyle. He does illustration, vector art, business identity, logotypes, typefaces, and photo manipulation as well as many other things. He has also been hired to work with many large companies such as Dolce & Gabbana.
Website for Aeiko.net - Pete Harrison's Portfolio
Here is the work he has done - there is quite a bit here so I put them in spoilers so it would make it easy on ya.
Funkrush Clothing Line (Pete's personal design line with collaberations from other designers)
Dolce & Gabbana - Design work for 2007 book/catalog
Photoshop Creative Magazine - Tutorials that Pete created.
Fear the Music - Personal design set.
Extras - Just Extra work he has done.
Well thats it from him for now. Here are a few other designers I really like if you are into this kind of stuff:
The HEJZ
Constantine First
ShinyBinary
PacMan23
Farlow Studios
Drew Flaherty
Adhemas
The Beast is Back
CrisVector
Whew... there you go. Just a little more about what I like, may be boring to some but I'm sure its interesting to others...
Oh, and like always here is just a little video clip like I always do. These guys are absolutely fucking hilarious and awesome. I watch their podcate weekly (Diggnation) and it covers the top articles on Kevin Rose's social news networking website Digg.com. If you haven't seen it before its worth checking out (well if your a geek that is like me ). If no interest in the website, the podcast still delivers some hilarious moments as well as some interesting information, its just two dudes drinking beers and talking about geeky/tech stuff. Here are a few moments from the show that cracked me up:
Diggnation - Sweaters w/ knots = Crazy primal sex
Diggnation - Hamster Faced Girl
OK OK, I have to add more they are just too good to pass up lol.
Wow... Ok I think I put enough into this weeks post, lol. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (for you who are in the States). Miss you all and talk to you soon.
JP
