Taking it Back... Way Back.
Music for the trip to Seattle.
So I was flipping through some of my old music today looking for some stuff to take with me on my trip up to Seattle this Thursday (meeting up with Dalethia and maybe some other SG'ers) when I stumbled upon a great find. This is the CD I forgot I bought in High School:
Hell Yes!!! This is the Zapp & Roger: Greatest Hits cd that I used to listen to like crazy back in the day, lol. In fact I have to give some of my "crazy for a white boy" rhythm credit to poplocking and breakdancing to some of these classic cuts, lol. This CD is sooooooo going in my car for the 4 hour drive north. For those of you who have no clue who this is (probably every one of you lol), Roger Troutman (lead singer for Zapp & Roger) has been on tons of music I am sure you have all heard, like California Love. He is a master of the talkbox... and sadly was shot to death outside of his recording studio in 1999 (thought to be done by his brother who was also found shot once in the head a few blocks away). Anyways this music brings back memories, lol, especially ones of me out at the dance club on the weekends till 2 am in High School... man I had it lucky, parents just seemed to trust me enough to let me live a little loose I guess.
Anyways here are some examples of Zapp & Roger for ya. These are freakin' hilarious old school videos, well the second looks a little more recent but the dude is still playing a Keytar and Roger actually finishes it off by playing his Flaming Guitar with his teeth. Ahh good times, lol:

Yeah thats me, no beard lol. Theres no way I could fit in those pants anymore now that i kinda filled out lol. Those pants should be illegal I swear, one accidental booty shake against em on the dancefloor and trouble ensues. So freakin funny though. God, what the hell was I thinking?!!
