So it's been nearly a month since I've been home from training and I was supposed to leave for Afghanistan after only a week. Damn, I was getting anxious! But I finally got the phone call yesterday. As of now, I'm leaving next week for DC then immediately to the US Embassy in Kabul.

It's about time too... With the exception of a few good times, I have been getting more and more bored being on stand-by. But at least I was getting paid to sit around doing nothing, and more than my last job at that!
