Congrats to me!
It's been five weeks and a total of 241 training hours and the course is over, I have my certificate of completion and should be on my way to beautiful Afghanistan to assume my new job in about a week.
Overall the course was great. If nothing else, the remediation on some of those old skills of mine was great!
Our high speed driving training was by far the most fun we had though.
^Instructed to drive 40MPH while blinded and when ready, the instructor removes the blinder and we react to whatever is out in front of us.
^Close proximity driving
But we found time to have some fun too...
And finally, since I wasn't sure how much time I'd get over before going overseas (if any for that matter), I had a special guest come visit me in San Antonio...
Heading to the airport in the morning to head home for an early morning flight home for a short while.
