Bloggity blog blog...
There's is actually no quote of the weekend to share this time around. Unless you count me reading aloud the type of venders at yesterdays concert:
"Hand made Mexican, corn dogs and vagina.. "
Because yes, there was a booth with a big "I <3 vagina" above it. ILoveVagina.com
Speaking of the concert, I took the boat as always since it was on the river, but this time far more friends took advantage this time around. At first I docked right next to the park and began to wonder why I even bought tickets when I could hear the bands just fine from the water and had a full bar on the boat - negating the need to pay $6/beer!
But we did eventually go in so that we could SEE Godsmack, Stone Sour, A Day to Remember, My Darkest Days, and many, many more. There were at least 20 bands total!
Sadly though, one of our friends couldn't make it since he got a DUI the night before and another got one later that night.
And in exciting news:
On Wednesday I submitted my resume to work for a company to do security work out of Afghanistan and within just a few hours I received an email asking when I could be contacted for a phone interview, to which I replied "any time" naturally.
Long story short... I was called, interviewed, told that I certainly qualify and would receive a packet as early as Monday (today) via mail if I was offered the position. But instead they sent it OVERNIGHT!
I'm stoked! I mean, I've barely made enough money this past year to keep my head above water. But now? Put it this way.... I'll be able to walk on it! $96-mother-fucking-thousand/year!!! PLUS food, lodging, uniforms and gear! Granted, the offer is contingent on getting security clearance and passing medical exams, but I'm not at all worried about that.
