So it's been a little bit... Here's what's been going on.
Most recently, it was my friend Mike's birthday. We went to dinner and the club. Someone got him one of those big cheesy chalices with "Pimp" bedazzled on the side.
We had to force him to carry it around the club, but once he got several positive reactions from random ladies, he sported it proudly.
The straw was his idea though...
We got the birthday boy drunk! Mission Accomplished!
There was bull riding too, but you wouldn't catch my ass on it.
Speaking of going out, a few weeks back I went to my old bar with my friend Rob. He was trying to meet a chick that was going with her gay roommates. So I tried to be the good wingman and give him a ride up there since he still can't drive... DUI. Anyway, the great part about being a straight guy hanging out at a gay bar is that there are plenty of straight women to catch off guard...
At the end of the night a girl walked past the two of us and commented, "It's too bad you guys are gay." So I said, nonchalantly, "We're not gay." This got her attention... "You're not gay?! OMG! You wanna make out?!"
She had obviously had a few adult beverages. Now, I'm not the type to take advantage of drunk chicks and I do preferring a challenge, it was just a funny situation. The best part though was her friends pulling her off me saying, "Let's go. You've got a girlfriend at home." Guess she wasn't straight after all.
My brother has gotten himself a motorcycle, a Kawasaki 636. We are officially a family of bikers. Mother, father, and brother. Even my sister used to ride.
I've decided to try growing my hair out. I haven't had long hair since I was in middle school and even then it wasn't that long and not well groomed, I'll admit.
I've also started thinking about going back to school. I was doing the math and figured that being a full time student with a decent part time job would bring in more money than working full time at my current job.
Confused? With the GI Bill I'll actually be getting paid just to go to school. Now, I just need to see if it's not to late to apply.
Lastly, I want to throw in a shameless plug for a recent book release from a friend's publishing company.
The Last Living Slut: Born in Iran, Bred Backstage hit bookstores earlier this month. This is the first book from both my friend's publishing company and the author, Roxana Shirazi. I suggest looking into it.
When I went to pick up my reserved copy from Barnes and Noble, I was shocked and upset that they had so few copies on the shelves and that there were NONE in the new release section like there should have been. So I became a bit of a bookstore anarchist....
I have a promotional excerpt that was emailed to me from my friend that I would be happy to share with anyone interested in reading it.
