WARNING! Bombardment of pictures imminent!
So the first week of the whole trip took place in a cabin in Tennessee for my grandparent's 50th anniversary, which just so happened to be on Christmas. My brother drove the whole 9 hours from FL to TN. Which was fine with me as I got to watch the entire 2nd season of How I Met Your Mother uninterrupted.
We even made a quick stop in NC for some last minute gifts
Everyone that had come to celebrate pitched in to rent this huge cabin with about 8 rooms, several couches, a damned theater, flat screen TVs everywhere, game room and not 1... but TWO jacuzzis, which I personally felt never got hot enough.
Our first few days my father, brother, brother-in-law, sister and I went to these long, winding, rocky, muddy, middle of no where trails 80 miles from the cabin. Even my 1 year old nephew was brought along... My sister strapped a car set on the Yamaha Rhino they brought up. Which I was in the back of a lot taking pictures while trying to hold on!
And on Christmas Eve... We drank! A lot! Can you imagine the hang over the next morning with a bunch of scream kids opening presents?!
And the rest of the week was random silliness. To include...
Which I'm not gonna bother to spoiler.
After TN my brother and I drove up to spend some more with dad in NY...
Keeping with my tradition of spending New Years in a new country every year, I went to Toronto to celebrate my seventh consecutive years in a different country!
I'll admit, it wasn't the most fun, or intoxicated, NYE I've had. My brother went with me and since he's only 18 and the drinking age was 19, he couldn't get into the more fun places. Quite the damper... but at least I had a DD.
That's about it... And I need to get ready for work.
But while writing this blog, my sister and nephew stopped by and I learned that cats aren't the only things that try to catch laser pointers!
'
Not spoilering that either!
and that was for a concert, so I didnt get to see much.
But, I wana go back up there proper, and see a few
places
Looks like you've had a lot of
fun lately
I was just saying to another member on the site
that Queenstown is really cool! I want to visit
there sometime this year.
