I have just heard an amazing story,/B]
It's about a girl named Annabella who opened up her life to me. Every day she goes home to a house filled with smoke. During the day her grandmother cleans the house, makes food for the kids to eat when they get home while their mother works or is busy driving them to where they need to be (i.e. work, sports, social life, school, blah). Five out of the seven days in the week Annabella's father is at an apartment convieniantly located in Littleton. The mother, emaciated because she doesn't eat and chainsmokes, sit in depression constantly taking it out on her children. All while her father plays with his mistress, and the rest of his other family. Annabella has too many half-sibilings around her age for married parrents. Pleading with her parents proved to be pointless. She said they were proud, big-headed, and Haitian. Pleading for her mother to divorce their father was pointless. What her children say are of no interest, this is between their father and herself.
He comes home and eats. Doesn't take the children anywhere, spend time with them, love them, clean the house, pay for repairs, fees, kids.. eh.
The just had an electric shortage and a bunch of shit needs to be fixed. Their house is falling apart. Fearing her mother's death Annabella told me that if she were today she would take her brother and her grandmother and away from the father.
The mother refuses to divorce him, "for the kids," she says. This is a lie, because it's killing them. Children can't deal, or understand. Then again, he beats her, strangles her in front of a christmas tree.
Happy Holidays.
She is a person I could learn something from.
