I really think most diagnosed cases of IBS are something that is completely identifiable and either treatable or curable, except that the doctor doesn't know or doesn't try enough to find out exactly what's going on. Doctors are a proud lot. Once they decide something they stick with it and it sometimes takes pushing and insisting before they listen.
Seriously, one doc told me she thought I had IBS even though I suspected gluten intolerance (a sort of allergy to wheat proteins). Rather than listen she told me, "no. I think you just need to eat more whole wheats." (WTF!?!?!) Anyway, one incredibly difficult but completely doable diet change later, all is well.
Sorry if you've gotten it all checked out and I'm just being another dope not taking your word for it. It's just a thought.

A. My own romance skills are only very slightly more mature than they were about 15 years ago (mayhaps this is why Hedy thinks I'm so damned cute?...).

It is best to get it before you are sexually active, although if you have been in the past, you can get tested for HPV. If the results are negative, you are free and clear to get the Vaccine.
