I was totally prepared on candy, and even stayed composed and only gave out 1 piece per kid. Lower turn-out than last year though...

The good- the turn based battle system is interesting, and was the main reason I beat the game. I also liked acquiring and leveling up the fairies- basically accessories that level up and provide interesting buffs as you gain experience.

Last weekend I started playing Skyforge. It's an Scifi/Fantasy MMO, similar to Guild Wars but with active targeting (or the illusion of it). It's fun so far. It has a leveling system like FFX- a grid of nodes you unlock with different kinds of points for stat bonuses, passive talents, and active abilities. However, the pace that they feed you new content is pretty slow....

This year's E3 has been a good one for me, definitely the best one in a couple years. Dishonored 2, KH3, the FF7 remake, Dark Souls 3, Nier 2, and The Last Guardian, plus some new games like Eitr. Square-Enix really killed it this year, huh? Next year is going to be a good year. Too bad next year isn't this year. :P

The first game I ever played was Mario on the NES, but the first game I ever beat was Legend of Zelda on the NES. These two games were formative for me, and continue to influence the kinds of games I enjoy- platformers, dungeon crawlers, action-adventure games.
