I watched the Christian the Lion video on youtube today. I'm not going to post it here because I think I would lose my man card. But I will say, that video makes me miss being around animals, especially my dog, Bean. Below are some pictures of Bean. If you can imagine, he was as gentle and loving as he is cute.
So, moving on past the adorableness...I am addicted to bookstores. Specifically, the sale racks at Barnes & Noble. I bought 4 hardcovers today, on a whim. It's gotten to the point where I'm gonna need a new bookshelf soon, because my current one is overflowing with books! I didn't think I had that many, until I counted. 181. And that's only the books I have out here in Montana. There's at least that many at home in North Carolina too. There's an old episode of "The Twilight Zone" titled Time Enough At Last. It's about an guy who reads incessantly, and is always hounded by the people in his life to stop reading and live his life. Then one day nuclear war breaks out, and through of fluke, he is the only person left alive. He beings to go mad, until he discovers the town library is intact. He is overjoyed, until he finally sits down to enjoy his literature, and subsequently breaks his glasses. Good episode. But my addiction to bargain books is starting to make me feel like the main character in that story.
I'm headed to San Antonio a week from tomorrow to see my best friend and his wife, before he gets deployed to Afghanistan. If anyone knows of any cool things to do around that part of Texas, let me know. I'd like to make his last few days in the US amazing. Thanks!

I'm also addicted to books. Portland has this pretty epic bookstore that's four stories tall and takes up an entire city block. All of their used books are intermingled with their regular priced books (which are still usually cheaper than the price printed by the publishing companies), so you could lost here for days. reading is sexy.
hehehe
yeah it was an insane party
