So the 1000mg Vicodin, Soma, Valium are all gone and my wrist STILL hurts, but the doctor called my on thursday and told me that I do NOT have a fracture so no pins!!! BTW, Soma is a killer prescription, its a muscle relaxer from god himself! So, I suggest NOT being on your back porch at 3am completely wasted talking to your buddy and then taking a step backwards when there happens to be no more porch to step on but stairs. I went down 7 stairs backwards and the 7th stair was concrete. It really didn't hurt except for the last half of an inch or so.
So that's my story, not fun, but it was a good thing I was drunk because my body was wobbly and loose. Same reason that most drunk drivers live in car accidents.
Fast forward a few days....
I was at the lincoln Tap on Friday (4-15) for a birthday party and had the pleasure of talking to this really cool girl will some killer tatts. Wish I had more time to have talked to her =(
Next day....
Sorry I missed the SGChicago gathering this saturday, I hate saying I would do something to then have to back out... But I do have a good reason, and no, it doesn't involve drinking, drugs, or Oompha Loompa with sombreros on their heads running around with chips and salsa....
I've been looking to buy a place in Chicago now for 5 years, but for the last 6 months I've gotten real serious about trying to find a place before my lease is up at the end of August. So Thursday I had an appointments to see 2 places, one on Clybourn and one on Damon. The Clybourn place looked great but the Daman place had a loft that was really a converted attic so the walls were angled to the point that you had to be less then 3 feet tall to enjoy the room.
I then made a second appointment to see the Clybourn place on friday. I planned to leave work early to make my 2:30 appointment, but as it went I got into a huge argument 3 minutes before I was to leave at 1:45pm.
I didn't get out of work till after 2:10! I was over 40 minutes late getting there. Not a good way to end my work day, but oh well.
I see the place again, but this time with my buddy who's going to be living there paying rent and the 2 agents.
My buddy, my agent who's also a personal friend and myself leave and walk 2 blocks to a pub to talk about the place. They were having an open house on saturday and sunday so if I was going to do something I was going to have to do it before the weekend started... In other words, I needed to make up my mind in the next 20-30 minutes. A few beers later and I decided to put a bid in.
They said they would give me a response that night. Friday night went with no response.
Saturday I get a call around 11am from my agent, She says the money was good, but they were not going to do the upgrades. I responded that I wanted minimum of 2 of the 3 requested upgrades or I'm walking away.
As it turns out at 6ish I get a call from her and she tells me they accepted the bid with my 2 upgrades accepted. Yahoo!!!
So I drove to her office, filled out the paperwork and signed my first born away along with a few body parts.
i spent the rest of the day looking for Mortgage brokers, inspectors, and lawyers.
So there is my update, sorry for another one of my long winded posts.
Till next chapter,
Zabo
