A long time ago I used to work at the Government Liquor Store
in Zablo Hills. (after I lost my re-election bid as mayor by 109 votes.)
It was hard, lifting heavy cases of booze, dealing with difficult customers
and so on. I came across this little inspirational poem I made up at the
time to motivate the staff, in some old papers.

Liquor Store Blues



Liquor Store men do things the hard way -


Taking no shortcuts to earn their slim pay.


But they never whine,


Drink lots of moonshine....


It makes them weary at the end of the day.

Liquor Store men are noble and just -


Their morals impeccable; high ethics a must.


They handle the cash,


And move like a flash....


The public will deal with those that they trust.
